Dura-Fuse

Dura-Fuse is a premium fused alloy wear plate engineered for extreme abrasion, impact, and material hang-up. Its dense carbide-rich overlay on a structural steel base delivers predictable wear life, reduced downtime, and cost-per-ton savings. With a patented single-pass deposition process and optimized microstructure, Dura-Fuse resists sliding abrasion, impact, and material carry-back. Available in multiple finishes, thicknesses, and chemistries, it adapts to mining, bulk handling, power generation, and heavy construction applications.

Plates Grades

Dura-Fuse offers multiple grades, each engineered for specific wear environments, along with fully custom solutions to meet unique operational requirements.

Grade Core Composition Key Performance
DF-Cr Chromium Carbide-Rich Overlay Maximum abrasion resistance; low friction; excellent anti-hang-up
DF-M Composite Carbides Matrix Superior toughness; thermal stability; impact resistance
DF-T Tungsten Carbide-Reinforced Extreme wear resistance at elevated temperature.
DF-V Vanadium-Modified Alloy Balanced abrasion and impact; versatile performance

Tailored carbide formulations as per request.

FAQ

What makes DURA‑FUSE different from conventional wear plates?

+

DURA‑FUSE plates are manufactured using an engineered patent fusion process that produces a dense, smooth, carbide‑rich overlay on a structural steel backing. This eliminates under‑bead cracking and reduces friction and material hang‑up, ensuring more reliable wear resistance and smoother material flow than traditional weld overlay or quenched & tempered plates.

Can DURA‑FUSE wear plates be fabricated for installation?

+

Yes. DURA‑FUSE plates maintain structural integrity during fabrication, allowing them to be cut, formed, welded, drilled, stud‑attached, and assembled into ready‑to‑install parts tailored to specific equipment and applications.

How do I choose the right grade of DURA‑FUSE for my application?

+

We offer multiple grades of DURA‑FUSE wear plates designed for different wear environments. Selection is based on operating conditions, including the type of material, abrasion severity, impact levels, and temperature. Our technical team can help recommend the optimal grade and configuration for your needs.
